Finished

Art Title Tier Notes
Violet Evergarden S I watched this a really long time ago, so I don't remember any details, but I know it was realllly good. I remember being utterly captivated. I should probably rewatch it.
Fate/stay night A Another one I watched really long ago. I remember finding some violence rather distasteful but it was still worth watching. I want to say the plot was good but I honestly don't remember the whole thing. I found it great at the time, though.
Toradora! S This was my first real experience with romance and comedy in anime (life-changing). I pulled an all-nighter with my sister to binge the whole thing in one day.
Horimiya S This is literally the best anime ever, trust. It's my favorite.
Sword Art Online A- I binged this when I first got into it, and I actually have some of the light novels. I was way into it at the time but, in retrospect, it was one of my first experiences with this kind of genre. Nowadays I've come across so many things like it that it seems boring. I would've rated this a solid A in 2023 but my standards are a bit higher nowadays. This anime admittedly ran into the problem of having quite a few boring stretches, especially in later seasons.
Konosuba C This was one of the first things I came across when I started watching anime on my own. I don't really remember the plot, if there even was one, but I remember it being rather boring. And, while I know it's like the whole point of the anime, I don't like fanservice. I'm not sure what compelled me to finish it back then but I suppose I did.
Quintessential Quintuplets A This was very enjoyable comedy and romance. I'm not really into harems but it was executed very well here. Itsuki is the goat.
Angel Beats! S This was actually so good. The plot, the characters, the entertainment value, the comedy; it's all gold. My phone lock screen has been Naoi for like, 6 years now because my sister and I thought it was hilarious.
Mirai Nikki A I think this one of the first animes I watched, like, so long ago I didn't even really understand a lot of it. So I rewatched it last year. It was good, but I'll admit, I came out of it finding both main characters detestable, and I'm not really that into animes with evil protagonists. The quality of the whole thing was good though; it was never boring.
Darling in the Franxx B To be completely honest, I don't remember this at all, but I remember liking it when I watched it. I think the plot was good but not astounding. Oddly, one thing I recall is like a literal child getting pregnant though, which weirded me out, but maybe that didn't actually happen and I'm misremembering. I recall there being some sexualization which made me uncomfortable.
Re-Zero A Similarly to SAO, I binged this whole thing when I started watching it, but Season 3 wasn't out at the time, so I need to go watch that. Honestly, I probably have to rewatch a lot of this, because I only really remember the gist of the show. I remember being very entertained, and what is anime for if not entertainment? If I'm particularly impressed when I rewatch/continue it, I'll bump it up a tier.
Princess Connect! Re:Dive B Cute, entertaining mix of slice of life, adventure, and some action. It was and is worth watching but it's nothing special.
Suzume A This was a really entertaining watch, good plot and everything, and the premise was funny too. I'm not gay but like, the main guy was really hot; it's a shame he was a chair for most of the movie.
A Silent Voice A This was very heartfelt. The ending was inconclusive but it's worth watching anyway. You can just come up with a headcanon or something for the ending.
Bocchi the Rock! B Okay; I know this is insanely popular and everything. I had scouted this out months before it came out because it was definitely promising. But, I just wasn't really able to get into the slice of life kinda vibe. It got boring to me.
The Case Study of Vanitas S Yet again, I don't remember this anime at all. But, I remember it was really really good in almost every considerable aspect. I'm pretty sure I had the flu when I was watching it and still stayed up late to watch as much as possible. It's just that good.
Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion A This anime is dumb but so funny. I can't tell if it really tries to take a serious approach to romance but regardless it's very silly and entertaining.
Angels of Death S This was very entertaining. Just pure entertainment. I recommend it.
Buddy Daddies A I feel obliged to say I watched this with my sister and it was her idea. Like, basically, no homo. It was good though. It was fun to watch. It's goofy but still manages to pull off a pretty serious plot.
Pandora Hearts A+ When my sister first recommended this to me, I actually turned her down because I thought it looked old, and I'm not really into the more classic art styles. I'm not sure why or when I got over that though, but I ended up binging the whole thing and she never finished it, so... Anyway, it was really good. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The characters and their personalities add a lot of value to the story. Gilbert is hot (I'm still not gay though).
Arknights A This was a thoroughly enjoyable watch. The plot and the action are both good and the characters are cool. I'm pretty sure this is based on a video game; it executes that concept very well.
Death Note S I admit, I watched this in like, mega ADHD mode or something. I turned on the dub and put it on my second monitor while I played Geometry Dash. It still counts though! It was phenomenal. I know I said earlier that I don't like evil MCs, but this is the exception. It's just that well executed.
I've Been Killing Slimes For 300 Years and Maxed Out my Level A As someone with a habit of dropping slice of life anime, this stands out as something entertaining enough that I finished all of it without any difficulties. I think there's going to be another season or something, which I intend to watch as well.
Girls Band Cry A Call me retarded or whatever, but this was like Bocchi the Rock if it was good. It had plenty of its own problems but it was way more entertaining. The whole idea and a lot of the stuff that happens is insanely unrealistic for an anime that doesn't really seem to be trying to come off as something fantastical, but I can ignore that for the entertainment value.
Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf B+ This was like, semi-entertaining to watch. Very entertaining at times but boring at others. It can be a little lackluster.
Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World A+ Nothing mindbreaking, but this was goated. It was very entertaining and all the characters were either cool or added to the plot with their personality, skills, whatever. Plus romance. Unfortunately, the animation quality seriously dropped off after the first season, and the whole thing was left abruptly unfinished. A shame.
Tower of God A This one is packed with stuff going on. There are really no boring moments, though the plot can be jump around a lot at times and get pretty weird. There's actually more to this that I haven't watched, but I had finished everything available at the time I watched it. You have to really know what's going on to watch this, and I don't know when I'll feel like studying up on everything I had already watched before I continue watching.
Another A I watched this and thought it was good and then it turns out everyone hates it or something I guess. I don't care if the plot is dumb or if I was too dumb to notice that the plot was dumb (was it???); it was entertaining! It fits a niche of mine that I'd like to see more stuff try. Or maybe I need to look harder for stuff that fits that niche.
Dandadan A I wasn't gonna watch this because I thought it was dumb, but a lot (a LOT) of people on the internet said it was good so I watched it. It definitely was dumb, and very weird at many times, but nonetheless quality entertainment.
Wise Man's Grandchild A I watched this one knowing exactly what it would be and that that was what I wanted to watch. A bit of action, a bit of romance, a bit of all the good stuff like that. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Solo Leveling A+ I wasn't going to watch this because I was expecting another default boring isekai, like another bad retake of SAO or something. I ended up watching it anyway because I was depressed and bored one day and just needed to watch something and it was the first thing in my recommendations. It was actually really good, entertaining and all. The only two things I didn't like were the weird treatment of the "videogame anime" thing. It's kinda weird that he just has, like, video game popup menus. It kinda breaks immersion for me, like what, are they actually in a video game or something or what? I need explanations for that stuff! Then, I didn't really like that basically all the side characters show up for one or two episodes and then never show up again. One MC isn't enough...
I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss A I know the title is lowkey awful and cringe, but this was actually a really silly watch, and still managed to pull off a decent plot too. My sister and I watched this together so I can't be accused of watching it for my own enjoyment... but like, it isn't bad so I do recommend it if you're into shenanigans.
